Company Profile: Isaac Lord Limited is a family run firm, which was started in Desborough Road, High Wycombe, England in the year 1892. Isaac and his family sold tools and supplies to the workers in the furniture factories on their way to and from work.
Description: The business grew and a larger shop was opened. This was a traditional ironmonger’s shop, which sold everything while a trade department at the rear of the premises supplied the local furniture industry with fasteners and fittings. In 1976 due to a road-widening scheme we moved into purpose built premises, which we occupy today and at that time ironmongery and tools were on the lower floor and the trade department operated from the first floor. The business continued to expand and the trade department transferred to a warehouse unit at Desborough Park Road and the hand and power tools moved to the first floor of the shop.
